We Shape the Future with the Experience of the Past!
The seas have been one of the most vital elements for sustaining life throughout hum,an history. Over time, iron has been used more effectively with the developments in the maritime sector. Much larger vessels were built by joining large pieces of wood with iron nails and iron fasteners. It became almost impossible to keep these large ships steady at sea with logs filled with lead. The demand arose for a more lightweight, durable, and useful piece of marine equipment, which came to be known as the Anchor and is still in use on contemporary ships.
Although the main task of the anchor is to prevent the displacement of marine vessels on the water under the influence of external factors, we may argue that it has turned into a culture, a symbol, a prestige, and most importantly, an art with a historical process.
This is exactly where, as Impetus, we aimed to transform the Anchor, which has become a symbol of maritime culture, into a prestige object by combining art and intellect by taking the safe stance of the marine vessel on the water to another dimension. Its design, lines, aerodynamics, and statics will completely change the classic anchor perception you are used to and bring a breath of fresh air to the sector.
Eliminating the need for ‘different anchors for different sea environments’, Impetus aims to keep your vessel safely stable on all types of seabeds, in all conditions, at all depths, and in all wind types with a single anchor. Regardless of your variables, Impetus’ optimum drift and stab angle will ensure that you are secured in the shortest time and in the safest way. It moves parallel to your boat in a straight path, unaffected by bottom currents, because of the balancing flap beneath the oar. The Impetus consists of two main parts, the shovel, and the handle, and these two parts are locked together with a special mechanical locking method and carefully assembled in the skilled hands of expert argon welders. The mechanical lock ensures that it is impossible to separate the shovel and the handle, making the Impetus on average 30% more durable than its closest competitor.
All Impetus products are produced with a registration card. This registration card is delivered to the production responsible by the Engineering unit with a form containing the origin, qualifications, norms, batch numbers, and serial numbers of the raw material of the product. Each step in the production phase is recorded on these register cards. It is tracked and recorded step by step to determine which master produces that impetus, on which working day, and using which equipment. Traceability continues with the certificate number after the final checks have been conducted. We continue to monitor the Impetus product delivered to the customer until the information of the customer and the vessel is entered into the registration card.
We aimed to take your view of Anchor one step further by processing thousands of years of ancient knowledge that has been passed down to us.
As Impetus, we adopt the ‘Record’ reflex as our mission to tell the civilizations after us what we have done and to inspire the future.
The future is shaped by the record of the past.
